DC Dishes Out 20 Assists In Hornets Win
Chris Paul, who? Okay, so maybe he isn't quite Chris Paul, but DC had yet another outstanding game in the Hornet's four point win over Golden State on Monday night. DC dished out a career-high 20 assists, scored 16 points and grabbed three steals on the night.

20 ASSISTS?! that's a monster game right there!
The best thing you can do for your children is to love their mother. John Wooden
not bad company...
“Collison’s assists total tied Phoenix’s Steve Nash(notes) for the most in an NBA game this season”
I also love this line
“Curry’s back-to-back 3s trimmed New Orleans’ lead to 130-129 with 30 seconds left. Collison then ran down the shot clock inside 10 seconds, drove into the paint and drained a driving floater over Curry to make it 132-129 with 9.7 seconds left.”
Can you say CLUTCH!?
Was even more impressive on TV
DC darted inside, then juked Curry into another time zone. The SportsCenter guys were all over it, giving DC maximum praise all thru the highlights.

Still 7 TO's though...
and I think that’s a big reason (well, maybe not that big) he’s not being considered harder for Rookie of the Year. If he can get those TO’s down, he’ll literally join the ranks of the premiere PG’s in the NBA.
DC is a rookie playing serious starter minutes on a team that revolves almost entirely around it's PG.
Collison has tremendous poise (as we’ve all known for years), is very mature and very coachable. CP3 is teaching him well and while DC’s minutes and production will obviously drop once Chris Paul comes back, he will get his shot to start eventually on another team.
DC has outperformed all but one or two other rookies and was drafted in the 20s! Nothing wrong with the TOs. Those will decrease with time and experience. Just look at RW.
New Franchise Record?
IIRC, Collison topped Chris Paul’s record of most assists in a game by a rookie with 18 assists. Now that’s 20! If The game went into overtime (which was very possible), he would’ve had a good chance to match or even beat the all-time record for that category held by Ernie DiGregorio and Nate McMillan with 25.
that's pretty incredible
Maybe he’ll get traded to the Knicks this summer and team up with Lebron?
