Bruins Try To Salvage The Weekend Game Thread

It's been a rough weekend for the Bruins and there's really nowhere to lay blame or make excuses. The simple truth is that for the past two games, Oregon has been better than UCLA and the scoreboard fairly showed as much. There is one game left this weekend though and it is imperative that the Bruins win it or they will face a very steep uphill battle to get back into the conference title race.

Two right-handed UCLA sophomores have been beaten this weekend, but today, it will be a left-handed junior on the mound for the Bruins. Rob Rasmussen, who is 5-0 with a 2.89 ERA, will get the ball for John Savage's team and see if he can help salvage the weekend. Oregon has not named a starter, but my guess is that they go with Alex Kuedell, who is 4-3 with a 3.40 ERA.

Today's game is a noon PDT start and the game could be the Bruins' sixth consecutive crowd of over 1,000 at Jackie Robinson Stadium. As is the case for all home games, you can listen to it or follow it on GameTracker. You can also stay up to date on all things UCLA baseball from game updates to news to analysis to links on my UCLA baseball twitter. This is your game thread for tonight's contest so have at it.
