Bruins, be thankful that Pauley Pavilion will still be called (for now?) Pauley after its renovation. Introducing: Louisville's KFC Yum! Center.

Hmm
I guess “Freedom Hall” was a little too dignified. Do you think if Viagara put up a bid of $15 million the Cards would be playing in the “Bonerdome”?

The very definition of gaudy.
The best thing you can do for your children is to love their mother. John Wooden
Terrible
It looks like an “Airstream” trailer attached to a “Discount Tire” shop. Maybe that’s what they were going for.
Oh man,
did they really have to tag the logo on the roof?
"I can't believe I ate the whole thing" Homer Simpson
What I don't understand
is why companies pay millions of dollars for this stuff.
Do they really think that people will eat more fried chicken because their name is on a stadium? Really?
I mean, I get the tax benefits, name recognition, etc…
But really? Hey, I just went to a Laker game and I have a sudden urge to buy some perforated notebooks!
But hey, what do I know. Iām just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
Yuck!!!
That’s even worse than when Disney owned the Anaheim Ducks and insisted that Arrowhead Water name their home "The Pond. "
Of course, the Astros home park was known as “Enron Field” for a while…… :)
I may work with the Waves, but I'm still a Bruin!
What's wrong with "The Pond"?
It has some charm and it has a direct correlation to the team playing there as opposed to some product (like, oh, I don’t know…Honda).
Oh come on.....
“The Ducks swim at The Pond”??? Gag! :) LOL.
Right about Honda, but then how does Staples have anything to do with the Lakers, Clippers or Kings?
I may work with the Waves, but I'm still a Bruin!
It doesn't
That’s part of the reason why I hate the name Staples Center too. In fact as far as pro sports Arenas (current or past) in the U.S., there are only a few names I do like:
Candelstick Park
Soldier Field
Arrowhead Stadium
The Great Western Forum
The Spectrum
The Polo Grounds
The Pond
Camden Yards
The Palace at Auburn Hills
Madison Square Garden
That’s about all I can think of.
Lambeau Field?

Can't get too excited about
any stadium named after a person. Yes, it’s better than being named after a corporation (and in one strange case, a stadium named after both a guy and a corporation nearly has a cool name just based on history, Wrigley) but still.
