UCLA Spring Scrimmage Photos
It was great to see newly drafted Alterraun Verner joining the festivities Saturday at the Rose Bowl. He got a much deserved and warm applause from fans. I mean getting that degree in math/applied science! Oh yeah, and he did get drafted to Tennessee.
Prior to the game we opted for the AAA locker room tour given by Associate Athletic Director, Bob Field.

Bob Field gives us the scoop on the locker room
Unfortunately, I didn't retain much of what Field said; I just recall something about how the locker room is more similar to NFL rather than college specifications.
More after the jump.

Richard Brehaut runs a play
The game itself was a bit sloppy and the offense didn't seem to click. However, the effectiveness of the QB run option was hard to judge as special contact rules were in place to protect the QBs. Some of those QB runs probably would have gone for good yardage. I'll let those with better football knowledge analyze the game.

Wide receivers Jerry Johnson, Taylor Embree and Nelson Rosario
Of course meeting the team was what everyone was waiting for and all the team members smiled, patiently posed for photos and signed autographs for the fans.
How many days until September 5?

THANKS FOR THE PICS!!!!!
Great work - brings back so many memories…
You’ve earned your name, Telemachus!

Agree the offense couldn’t find any rhythm, but you are correct the special rule hurt the effectiveness tremendously. If you get some yards you build momentum, but were far from being a potent offense , our D looked great a lot of young talent, especially at DE and LB . Had tons of fun. I’ll try to post some pics too . TA was there too .
G.Granillo- Bruin for life!!!!

Great pics. I also have some great pics, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to get a picture directly into a FanPost. I made them smaller, loaded them online to ImageShack, and then tried to link them via the “image” button under “media and assets” sectoion of the Dashboard. When I preview it, it just shows the link. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Funny how I can build my own computer, yet I can’t even post a few pictures.
I'll try to step you through it . . .
click “New FabPost”
click the “Visual View” tab located on the “Body” header for the FanPost
click the image icon under “MEDIA & ASSETS” from the “Inserts” tab on the right of the page
make sure you click on the “Upload” tab on the window that pops up
enter a title (tags are optional)
click the “Choose File” button and select a file from your PC
click the green “Upload” button
You should get a “Upload in progress. Please wait…” message
The html should be generated automatically and your image should be displayed
If you get this far, click on the “HTML View” tab to see how the html looks. You can use that as a template for other pics or just repeat the above steps.
If this doesn’ t work, then you’re not following the steps correctly.
thanks for help
but my only option in the “image” icon window is to import a URL – there is no “upload” tab in the window. Do I need some sort of update?
