This is a screenshot from NCAA Football 11, taken from their official page on Facebook. It looks like we have "new" away uniforms for this fall, with the Adidas logo centered on the collar (like Michigan), and it seems that we've gone back to the dark blue instead of powder blue on the shoulders. Note that teams and apparel companies usually provide EA with any new designs or updates for in-game accuracy ahead of time, since the game comes out in early July (though it does nothing to alleviate the wait for the season to kickoff...lol).

Well
I like the fact that Sloan is in the ASU backfield and he seems to be taking a decent angle on Cameron Marshall.
Can we just skip summer?!?!
I plan on being there in Tempe come November to see Sloan make that hit!
Abbott & Costello should've done a "What's UCLA blue?" routine
Sigh…the athletic department continues to vacillate on the color of Bruin blue. I like the lighter blue we have been using on the road uniforms the past few seasons. That blue mirrors our home uniform better and simply looks better.
Regarding the adidas logo on the jersey, how dumb can the uniform designers be? Ours is one of the few college uniforms in the country that doesn’t show the school’s name, and now we are going to display a sponsor’s logo and not even put the UCLA name on the jersey? Wouldn’t it be easy to add a little UCLA script at the base of the collar?
On a side note, #43 needs to spend more time at the dinner table if he wants to knock anyone down this fall.
I never liked the newer away unis with the lighter blue.
They always reminded me of the first time the Bruins wore them, which was a huge gag job for Ben Olson and company in Seattle against an undermanned UW team. Those uniforms also remind me of Karl Dorrell.
Although it is tough to tell from the screenshot, it looks like UCLA might have also gotten rid of the two layers of piping around the numerals and gone back to the one color block numbers of the 70s and 80s. If that is the case, I like that too.
It looks like they returned to the longer stripe
hopefully the home uni’s also get this treatment
RESCUING DANCE MUSIC FROM THE BLAHS
Just checking..
..did you mean wider, the blue/gold/blue combination stripe?
I think the wider element is good because it retains the distinction UCLA has with the “gusse” jersey. As you can see in the picture above, even the AZ St players have a slight stripe at the seam, as do other schools.
I’m not as concerned with the away uniforms…I am concerned with the continual color chnages to the “the uniform” - the UCLA Blue that is a distinctive and identifying factor for the team.
By the way..back in the day, the color that was around for 30 years was “UCLA Blue”…a distincive, unique color created for the school. It was different from UNC blue and Columbia U Blue.
Then it wasn’t a ‘powder blue,’ but now with all the experimentation, the generic description could be applicable…too bad!

I hope this NCAA
has a decent roster this time around. Inexplicably, Craft was the starting QB, Milton Knox the starting running back, Terrance Austin plays like an All-American, Brian Price was barely better than average, and Rahim Moore and Akeem Ayers were missing completely…. It was really dissapointing. Whenever I tried to use someone else’s roster, it would last for one night and then be gone… not sure what I was doing wrong.
Off topic – In a HUGE shocker (<- sarcasm), I read that Reggie Carter got released from the Seahawks. Did BN cover that anywhere? It happened earlier in the month so maybe I missed it. I couldn’t find anything in a search.
He is certainly good enough to be playing in the NFL. I was bummed that he never got drafted.
