I'll Believe it When I See it...
"The NCAA committee on infractions will release its findings regarding the USC football and basketball programs on Friday, a source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com's Dana O'Neil on Sunday."
Hmmm, "a source with knowledge"? Hope this is true!

The internets will be a blaze with outrage
When the NCAA announces no bowl ban and token scholarship reductions
Presumably an $C guy...
I wonder if the “source with knowledge of the situation” has a rivalry with “three wealthy and influential” alums in the world of imaginary insiders.
I hope the NCAA has guts!
I hope $c gets the worst possible sanctions and not just a wrist slap. I really am afraid it will be nothing more than – please don’t do this again until the next time.

This feels like the OJ verdict watch.
We all heard the testimony through the television coverage. We all “knew” he was guilty. And yet, I have no faith that the right verdict will be handed down.

My dream
They broadcast the loss of scholarships, vacated victories, and bowl ineligibility around 8:00pm on ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, and ESPN.
My dream:
I turn in my master’s dissertation on time early Friday morning, fall asleep in Granchester Meadows for the longest nap of my life, celebrate the fact that summer has finally arrived that evening, and then wake up the next morning to the above mentioned headline on my blackberry. One can dream right?
