Coach Wooden In His Own Words
This evening has seen a number of tributes to and remembrances of John Wooden. I only thought it fitting that at this time, we should see a few moments of Coach in his own words, as well as with some of those who knew him well.
First, Coach Wooden's speech on the occasion of his induction into the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum's Court of Honor in 2008
Nearly five years ago, ESPN aired a round table discussion with Coach Wooden, along with several of his players , after he was named "Coach of the 20th Century" by ESPN.
In 2001, Coach talked about his life and his personal philosophy at a conference in Monterey, CA.
Coach Wooden sat down with the Indianapolis Star soon after his 95th birthday in 2005 (which I am unable to embed).
In 2007, Coach Wooden talked via phone with Bay Area sports host Gary Radnich, along with author Steve Jameson.
Last Winter, ESPN's Rick Reily talked with Coach Wooden in his Encino home, including a discussion of his lifelong love for Nell.
Farewell Coach.

Thanks so much
to everyone linking and posting all the videos and tributes to Coach. An absolute testament to how he transcended basketball and sports as being one of the greatest teachers this nation has had to offer. It’s been hours and my heart is still so heavy.
Thank you Coach. We are grateful for all that you’ve done and all that you have left us: knowledge and wisdom that will last for generations to come.
There are some really great tributes on Fox Sports.

Go Bruins!
Thank you for the presentations
Hearing Coach and his boys speak is food for the soul. Coach reminds us constantly of the person we can be, no matter what gifts we possess.
