UPDATE: Trogan News Trifecta On The Web...
Here is today's "Top Stories" on Sports Illustrated on-line's College Football Home page:
On Yahoo.com:
And ESPN:
It must be unprecedented to, in one sport, and in the off season at that, for one "university" to garner 3 separate news scandals on a single date of publication. a. USC apologizes for lying about other schools b. USC releases a recruit it lied to c. USC doesn't rehire an assistant coach who lied to the NCAA
The other stories have a coach telling the truth (from Texas Tech), the legal appeal from a lawsuit of his predecessor, a player recovering from a scary car crash, a QB who stayed in school (Locker), and, in the only item comparable to Trogan scandals, an athletic director (Georgia) who was pulled over for DUI, accompanied by a female other than his wife, with red panties at issue.
Even without Cheat Pete, these Trogans sure how to dominate the national news media!
UPDATE: with the addition of lying SC's ineligibility for Coaches' Poll ranking this year, the Trogans now hold 4 scandal items on ESPN's College Football Page. The hits just keep on coming.
Ditto for SI, 4 entries for Troy today, none of them flattering.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

They hit a different trifecta today on Yahoo Sports:
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football;_ylt=Aj2oTJtgPMGsHCQnbza0E2w5nYcB
Vols turn down game against Kiffin, USC
USC apologizes to Gators, Tide, Huskies
2 charged in Kansas ticket scam
USC releases top recruit Henderson
Crumley replaces Evans as Georgia AD
Big 12 reprimands Tuberville for remarks
Family of slain Pata hosts football camp
2 of the 3 lying stories we see on SI, plus the school Kiffin & SCwreck lied to doesn’t want to play them. I don’t recall call Coach Wooden basketball getting 4 scandals in one day, even though he led us for nearly 30 years.
Trifecta once again

ESPN today has 3 of the above stories on its College Football main page.
Looks great, thanks.
You take care of the format, and the Trogans take care of the content.
There's no such thing as bad press
So they must be ecstatic over there.
I'm going to take a crack at this one, guys:
Nobody really trusts Yahoo, ESPN, or SI for sports news anyway. They have an agenda.
