Bruin Vanessa Zamarippa and future Bruin (signee) Mattie Larson earned a place on the USA National Gymnastics team tonight. Vanessa came in 8th in the all-around and the 18 year old Mattie finished 2nd. Vanessa also place 2nd in the vault, 7th on the uneven bars, and 10th on floor. These are the best female gymnasts the U.S. has to offer and Vanessa was the only gymnast to make the team from a university rather than a club. Congratulations to them both!
