Around SBN: VIDEO: Veterans Share Favorite Sports Memories

Although I posted this video before the KSU game last year, I think it's worth sharing again (may be I was looking for excuse to feature a U2 tune on this blog too). The video gives us a little taste of what Coach Bill Snyder has meant to that program. It should also give us an idea the kind of passion and excitement we are going to see from the K State fans in Manhattan.

I will try to compile my notes on the Wildcats in the coming days. However, if you guys want to go ahead and get started fire away. The folks at Bring On The Cats were taking it easy this summer but it looks like they are buzzing again. Should be a good opener in which I believe the Cats will be the favorites.

GO BRUINS.

Vegas has us opening as a slight favorite

Albeit only by a single point. Still, it’s good to see us as a favorite on the road. And those guys in Vegas seem to know a little something about sports.

this video's kinda cool...

Much respect to the wildcat fans for hanging on through so much misery. I wish them well this season. After their first game.

I thought the highlights at 3:05 and 4:50 were exceptionally good.

Agreed.

I always got a kick out of those wins for KSU.

One thing we have in common with KSU

December 5, 1998 was the worst day of our football lives.

No doubt

We were in a bar in Miami after our loss and I was so bitter that I was rooting against KSU just so someone else would have to taste the same bitterness. How I felt kind of shocked me.

Wifey will like this video.

My wife is a huge K-State Alum. She thinks Bill Snyder is the second coming of the messiah. Can’t wait to see a god vanquished for the second year in a row by a young upstart CRN.
I’ll be the guy proudly struting is UCLA stuff in Manhattan come Sept 4th. By the way, that’s me with Willie the Wildcat up on the Jumbotron. Go Bruins!

Good stuff, Nestor

For all you UCLA fans, feel free to roam around the halls of BOTC in the next few weeks. Or, really, anytime for that matter. We should have more on the game next week. Looking forward to it, as I’ll be there. For Twothphry, I’ll be the one in purple.

Thanks TB

Do you think you can point us to a link with KSU depth chart? Have been looking for a ling on BOTC but couldn’t find it. If something comes out in next couple of days please let us know. Would love to go through it and of course get your impression on them as well.

I checked...

…the AD’s Web site, and they have posted that the depth chart will be released the week leading up to the UCLA game. I’d check in there on Monday or Tuesday. Bill Snyder is famously authoritarian about the information that is or, more accurately, is not released, so it’s pretty hard to get anything out of Vanier Football Complex. We’re only 10 days from the first game and I’m having a hard time finding links for our morning links post.

That said, keep an eye on BracketCat’s posts on our site detailing each position group. He has depth chart guesses on each of them. Also, I am scheduled to appear on your podcast next week, so maybe I can shed some light on situation. At least, that’s my hope.
