Fantastic interview from Ralph Irvin of BruinTV with DC. The Ben Ball warrior talked about the inspiration behind coming back for summer school to complete his degree. He also spoke about how his career at UCLA under Ben Howland prepared him for the NBA.
DC is going to finish up his degree in History at the end of the current session of summer school. Congrats to DC and kudos to Ralph and co. for a great interview on the official site. More please.
GO BRUINS.
UPDATE (N): Achilles also just posted another great interview of DC in the fanshots. GO BRUINS.

One problem
There’s only one Ralph Irvin. He and everyone involved with the official site have done such a great job with the videos, but he’s only one man!

Ralph is the man
He has been so great not just for football and basketball, but the non-revenue sports as well. His work with the softball team this past season was awesome. When the team arrived back in LA from the World Series (very tired and not looking forward to finals), Ralph was waiting at the stadium to offer congratulations and do some final interviews. He also put together a 20 minute highlight video recapping the whole season.
I hope he sticks around for a long time.
Saw him on campus today
I was giving a talk in Kinsey Pavilion and as I was leaving, I saw him leaving from the adjacent lecture hall.
Glad to hear he’s finishing up his degree.
Kinsey Pavilion?
I’ve been away from campus much too long. We had a “Kinsey Hall” but I don’t remember “Kinsey Pavilion.” (I always wanted someone named “Monty” to donate a zillion dollars so we could have “Monty Hall” on campus. You youngsters ask your parents who he was. Alas, I knew that no matter how much anyone named Huntz donated, we would never get a “Huntz Hall.”)
Actually the name Monty Hall often lives on amongst south campus type people
Though generally as the namesake of the counter-intuitive “Monty Hall Problem”.
Kinsey Pavilion
It’s attached to Knudsen Hall.
