Hello Kiffin Shamed Into Doling Out Meaningless Punishment To Havili
So couple of days ago Hello Kiffin "did not know if he would suspend Havili" for his thuggish leadership of the Trogan football team. After noticing how his program was getting further humiliated nationally, apparently Hello Kiffin is getting "tough." He is apparently "suspending" Havili from the team "indefinitely" per ESPNLA:
"I continue to be very disappointed in Stanley's decision-making," Kiffin said. "I saw T.J. this morning and he's doing well and he's expected to make a speedy, full recovery. T.J., after hearing the news later on of me not letting Stanley participate, begged me to let Stanley come out here and that it was between them and that there are no hard feelings, but we don't condone that behavior."
According to Kiffin, Havili punched Bryant near the end of a players-only workout after Havili and Bryant exchanged words during a conditioning drill.
"It was highly competitive and it got pretty wordy at one point, there came an altercation and Stanley took it to the next level," Kiffin said.
Kiffin said he wasn't sure how long the suspension would last.
"I'm still thinking about it," Kiffin said. "I'm just keeping him away right now. I know that hurts him and it should. He needs to be accountable for his actions. Unfortunately for T.J., who had really finished spring strong after a slow start and had put himself in position to compete for a starting spot, he was set back a little bit but as soon he gets back we'll give him a great shot, obviously."
TRANSLATION: don't expect Havili to miss a single game.
Guess nothing has changed from the days of Cheatey Petey. Fight on Lane! We are pulling for ya.
GO BRUINS.

They sure have gotten stricter
Under Cheatey, Havili would have had to run a few extra laps and be done with it, a la Winston Justice. That Hello Kiffy is a real disciplinarian. Such a classy bunch over there.

Apparently, though
Havili can’t run a few laps without breaking someone’s face, and since having him write an essay about the experience was for many reasons out of the question, it looks like Kiffin meted out the only punishment option available.
A slap on the wrist
more than Cheat would have done.
The best thing you can do for your children is to love their mother. John Wooden
So what's the punishment?
It sounds like Havili got a get-out-of-jail-free card by not having to participate in any more workouts but will more than likely be available for fall practice. I’m sure Havili has learned his lesson staying back in his rent-free apartment playing video games.
How does a coach
Suspend a player from a players only practice? I thought these practices were unofficial and the coaches were not allowed to have anything to do with them?
Lame's philosophical conundrum...
…Although Lame is Aristotelian at his core, he has been considering philosopher George Berkeley’s “Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge,” to wit…can something exist without being perceived?
Lame is considering a variation of Berkeley’s famous conundrum, “If a tree falls in a forest…” – “If a player pummels another at players’ practice and no coaches are officially there to observe it, does it warrant a suspension?”
Coach Kitten’s epistemological testicular deviate of Berkeley’s assertion has to be brought to fore to shed light on the way his new regime will handle discipline. His comparisons between the philosophies of Aristotle and Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel will have to wait.
Lame, when you’ve drafted your essay on Mr. Havili’s actions, please post on the locker room bulletin board, next to the sign-up list for alumni SUVs, so all the players can admire and understand the intellectual basis for your disciplinary decision-making.

He had a sore hamstring
in the first place. He’ll be welcomed back once he’s ready to go.
RESCUING DANCE MUSIC FROM THE BLAHS
As noted in this Tweet.
wearescstaff Stanley Havili returned to practice today. TJ Bryant watched from the sidelines. Bryant: “It’s old news. We made up that day.”
Also:
PedroMoura USC fullback Stanley Havili joked that his altercation with T.J. Bryant was a “bonding moment” for the pair.
And more.........LOL
ocruscblog Lane Kiffin on perception he went easy on Havili: “I don’t really concern myself with the perception of people outside of our program.”
This is beyond ridiculous.

Go Bruins!
Very Toledo-esque....
I hope they implode just like Toledo’s team did in 2001
Let me get this straight
Kiffin suspended him indefinitely yesterday, and now he is practicing today. What did Kiffin do, just suspend him from being with the team between 3:00AM and 4:00AM?

Missing just one game
would mean more to these professionals players than being barred for an entire offseason. Kiffin’s decision is such a cop out.
I don't quite understand why anyone is surprised.
How is this different from what has gone on over there for the six decades that I’ve been around? Except of course that everything is much more Ethical, thanks to Ethical Pat.
I smell a pay off
Look for new rims on TJ’s ride.
