Hopefully this story will have a happy ending. Taniel Maka committed to Bruins two years ago. However, he has been having a hard time getting through UCLA's stringent admission requirements (even though he met NCAA standards). Maka kept trying this past season and it didn't work out.
It appears per CRN's recommendation Maka has ended up at UNLV to play for former CRN assistant Bobby Hauck. Here is to Maka having a great career for the Rebels. We will certainly be pulling for him. A bummer that we couldn't have him as a Bruin.
