"I took a few weeks to figure out if I wanted to come back (from a torn ACL in the right knee) or not," Kia said. "It wasn't an automatic: next step, recovery. I had to weigh my options — this wasn't my first injury. Fractured back in high school, broken shin, broken hand. Is it really worth putting my body through this? When I realized it was possible to make a full recovery, the question was, 'Is this something I want to do?'
"But you know, this sport has taken precedence in my heart. Football has become my warrior identity. Letting it go, with the knowledge I could keep fighting, didn't sit well with me."

I love it
Love the passion and how well-spoken he is.
The caption of the picture says his “descendants” were bodyguards of King Kamehameha. Umm. That just tied my brian in a knot!
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
He was great at the breakfast today.
Very smart. Very funny. He said his descendants were bodyguards of the King…now he’s protecting a Prince.
Go Bruins!
Gotta get in the right mentality
For him and the rest of his brothers on the line, touching their quarterback is Kapu.
Did he say that?
Because it would be really hard for his descendants to be bodyguards of the King…seing as his descendants aren’t born yet! I’ll take it to mean, his ancestors. :)

Sorry I was tired...back at work after a lovely summer off!
No…he didn’t say that, he got it right.
Go Bruins!
