ooh! ooh!
I know!
Because in 2009:
we didn’t lose by 40 to Virginia (Indiana).
we didn’t lose by 28 to Mizzou (Illinois)
we didn’t have our 2nd best team nearly lose to a AA team (UNI) and Arkansas St
we didn’t have a losing record against Notre Dame
we didn’t have an upper division team (NW) lose to Syracuse and nearly to Eastern Michigan
we didn’t have a 3-5 team (Minn) lose by 14 at home to a 5-4 Pac-10 team (Cal) and get taken to overtime by Syracuse
we didn’t have our champ (Ohio St) lose at home to a 5-4 Pac-10 team (USC)
we had more than one good regular season win (Iowa beating Arizona) – see USC @ Ohio St, UCLA @ Tennessee, Oregon vs Utah…
and because we weren’t a total crap league that then got bailed out in terms of national perception by a good but far from great 4-3 bowl record (funny how everyone forgets Pac-10’s 5-0 in 2008 btw)
She conveniently leaves out...
that the Pac-10 went undefeated in bowl games in 2008. Typical. The Pac-10’s perception starts and ends with the media…and if west coast media won’t give us respect, then how can we expect the east coast media to do the same?
