Chris Foster - LAT's "UCLA Beat Reporter" - Tweets Out Of The Closet
The Trogan closet that is.
I keep telling myself that I will not be surprised by the UCLA hating and cheap shots coming from "UCLA beat reporters" for the LA Times. Yet there is always something from the classless hacks from a joke sports section that finds a way to get to new low.
Chris Foster, the so called "beat reporter" reacted to the fantastic Hundley news by tweeting this:
Kind of speaks for itself. Doesn't it? Foster essentially comes out of the closet as a Trogan. Fight on Chris.
Oh I should add that this toolbag also pointed his "followers" to a TJ Simers piece that is so meanspirited, childish with ugly and completely baseless attacks on CRN and UCLA football (without actually offering any commentary on the game) that we didn't even bother responding to it.
At this point I have to marvel a little at the patience UCLA PR folks show with these Trogan (tradmed) goons disguised as "beat reporters" to UCLA practices.
GO BRUINS.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

It is easy...
to spread blind hatred. Very disappointed with what is coming out from the LAT. They must be watching Fox News all day long.
Conduct yourself with class Bruins.
That's ironic
“They must be watching Fox News all day long.”
Speaking of “spreading blind hate.”
There's only two things I hate in this world:
People who are intolerant of other people’s cultures… and the Dutch.

Just another reason to not subscribe to the LA Times
Can we get more Jon Gold or Diamond Leung up in here?
Due to somebody at the times having a brainwave,
the tweet has now been deleted. Pretty ridiculous. If we were Arkansas fans he’s have been fired long ago.
Am I missing something?
I read this as pretty sarcastic commentary about SC football shriveling up and dying. I mean, just because the guy mentions Trojans and UCLA’s recruting coup in the same tweet does not — on the basis of that alone — make him a Trojan homer.
That said, my dog craps on the LAT every morning. (We don’t subscribe; we get them from the neighbor.)
God, it's great to be a Bruin!
It's implying that
the only reason we are able to get someone like Hundley is because U$C is on the downslide. Foster is essentially saying that we can’t compete with them for recruits even though we went head to head for 6 recruits last year and got half of them.
I read it as
sarcastic overexaggeration, implying that we UCLA fans are going to overreact to this news.
Either way
Its unnecessary, unprofessional and par for the course for LAT. The examples and datapoints at this point are endless and easily retrievable via our tags,

I don't read it at all.
the Slimes has been dead to me for quite a while.
Once more I will renew my call for DG to grow some and refuse these fools press passes.
No little weenies and drinks for them!
What’s the worst thing that might happen? They write something stupid or bad about us?
The Slimes will formally die, soon. And, no self-respecting Bruin will give any one of these jerks a job.
sjh
Well, thanks for the insight..
..but, on the basis of this post alone, I still think it’s slam at USC.
But I am sure, were other evidence admitted, I would see the wisdom of your assertions.
Still in all, the bowel movements by my dog Alice will not abate. I’ll just make sure she has first opportunity on the sports section.
God, it's great to be a Bruin!
You trained your dog
to crap on your neighbor’s LAT? You’re the inner-bruin whisperer. She should be named Cade, but since she’s a she, how about dubbing her Cadie?
I think you are misreading "OMG"
which is (stereotypically) used by teenage girls to abbreviate “Oh My God”, (stereotypically) about some thing that is less than earthshattering.
Also, note the multiple exclamation marks. It clearly is not intended as sincere.

How does this guy still have a job?
I know it’s twitter, but he is supposed to be a journalist. Taking swipes at a fanbase, whose team he covers, reacting to positive news. Really?
If he can’t act like a journalist maybe he shouldn’t be one.

what a tool!
"Success is never final, Failure is never fatal. It's Courage that count's" - John Wooden.
I still think foster lacks in friends and thinks "cute" sarcasm is the way to get to be with the in crowd.
It might work when you’re 14, but come on chris, you’re supposed to be a grown man and work for one of the most powerful papers in the country.
Go Bruins!
Didn't he post something equally snarky re: the backpack theft?
It would be one thing if he was using a personal account, but it’s cfosterLATIMES. This guy clearly doesn’t want or deserve this job.
