Buried in the above one of many stories regarding whether Reggie (Soul Man) Bush is going to return his Heisman trophy is the following statement by the ex-Kardashian: "He said he remains friends with Trojans coach Lane Kiffin and talks with him on occasion..."
One would normally expect that Reggie Bush would lie and Lane Kiffin would cheat. One would similarly be astounded if RB told the truth and LK followed a rule. But now we have a case where Reggie could lie and Lane be innocent, or where Reggie could make an accurate statement and Lane be guilty, but not both.
1) If he is telling the truth, then Lane has already -- even before his first game at SC -- violated the terms of the NCAA sanctions that required the Trogans to disassociate themselves from said Mr. Bush.
2) If he is lying, then there is apparently at least one NCAA directive that said Mr. Kiffin has yet to be caught breaching.
One party has a consistent history of untruthfulness, and always pays large settlement money to avoid any possibility of being forced to be honest. The other has a chronic record of NCAA violations, both at USC and at Tennessee, that could well be described as unmatched.
So YOU ARE THE JUDGE. Who do you believe, Reggie or Lane?
