Idea for UCLA: Elway Taking Denver & Broncos' Fans Into New Media Age
Via the Shutdown Corner:
Elway and his team have upped the ante when it comes to giving the fans an inside view. They've posted snippets of the pre-interviews with current interim coach Eric Studesville and New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell. The linked videos give unique insight into the thought processes of the men interviewing to become Denver's newest head coach. One has to wonder if Rick Dennison and John Fox, who are expected to interview by Wednesday, will do their own videos, but the signs are good -- Elway told the fans via his Twitter account just exactly why Fox's interview was delayed.
Maybe this is something UCLA should be doing. Great idea there, and great idea here. Let us know about the coaching interviews. What are you looking for?
Do you listen to us here at BN? Who are you talking to? How are you going to stop the 10 year slide of FB? Does DG give a damn? Are you going to stick with the pistol or go with a pro set offense? Bring us into the process, and it will pay off with our support if you are doing it right.
Install an internet liason person. Post on Twitter. Let us all in to help. We want to. Trust us on that. No more hiding. We are your friends in this project. Like you, we are Bruins. ALWAYS.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

BRAVO, 70.

Does any school mistrust it’s alumni and fan base as much as UCLA does? There is an untapped fountain of enthusiasm that could be tapped by a wise and willing administration. We are not just pocket books to be tapped when you want donations. Give me input or give me death. (OK, maybe not death. But, you get the picture.)

Thanks. I agree with you.

Great Idea - First Steps
I think this is a great idea and I think we should try to organize for a more permanent section/sub-group of the UCLA Alumni Association. I have only been back in California for a year and as a young alumni have been thinking of ways to get involved in the Alumni association.
I think we could facilitate a meeting with DG and the other powers that be; and maybe have some more tangible discussions on how to apply the numerous great ideas that litter the boards here on a regular basis. The networks/groups in the UCLA Alumni association are geographically based for the most part, but I would like to organize a serious Athletic oriented Alumni sub-group.
Stay tuned for a post while I work some things out. I would love any input on this idea.
I've often thought about getting a congress of alumni together.
I guess town hall meeting is thing to say these days. But, you get the picture. Let’s throw the ideas around in a room with ideally DG present.

Irony
I have been a season ticket holder of the Broncos for 12 years, and I learn of the Broncos electronic outreach to its fans and the public on BruinsNation.
I think this would be great for UCLA to do. Therefore, I have no reason to believe they will.

You got me to chuckle with that last line.

I am on board to help.
Let me know if I can assist this in some way. Others can too. Just let us know here. Maybe BN could have a poll about this to see if there is support. “Nothing is stronger than an idea whose time has come.”
