[Update] Stanford Promotes OC Shaw to Head Coach, Heater to Temple

ESPN:

Stanford offensive coordinator David Shaw has been promoted to head coach of the Cardinal, the university announced Thursday.

Shaw was in charge of Stanford's offense for four years under Jim Harbaugh, who left last week to become coach of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers.

Shaw will be introduced at a news conference on Thursday afternoon, the university

The speculation will now on focus on Vic Fangio. Will he join Jim Harbaugh's 49ers staff? Will he looking elsewhere like the Dallas Cowboys? Will he connect with his old colleague Rick Neuehisel at UCLA?

Update - P: The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that Temple has hired Chuck Heater as their new defensive coordinator. The new Temple head coach, Steve Addazio, was Florida's offensive coordinator while Heater was their DC.

Several sources have confirmed that former Florida defensive coordinator Chuck Heater will assume the same position at Temple for new coach Steve Addazio, the former Florida offensive coordinator.
