Jon Gold and Adam Maya (whose "reporting" has been discussed a lot here on BruinsNation and not exactly in favorable light) apparently cornered Rick Neuheisel to serve them up some coach-speak. Neuheisel spoke and didn't provide them with any news. Rick served up some bland coach-speak:
On Mike Johnson being hired as OC:
"All that went out yesterday was premature. Nothing can happen fast. I have a wide receiver job open and a defensive coordinator job open. I've talked to some coaches and certainly made a lot of calls and some ideas on the way things can work. And I've also talked about a redistribution of assignments within the coaching staff. I'm still toying with that idea. In trying to get this right I'm willing to look outside the box. With respect to Norm, Norm is a coach on our staff."

We suggest at this point of time do not try to make too much out of his public comments. That will drive you all crazy. There are multiple players involved with different institutions as has been well documented so far on this site. We think Tracy from BruinReportOnline.com has always been a solid reporter. Few days ago when he reported that Chow might be on his way out there were snickers in LA's mainstream media. Yet recent stories indicate that is where Neuheisel might be moving. We find Tracy more credible on UCLA related matters than anyone else who has official press credentials. Just because a head coach is not saying anything definitive do not mean things are not taking place in the back ground. This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.
