UCLA Coach Rick Neuheisel's Offseason Dilemmas
This article is maddeningly negative, but it appears that CRN’s management of the offseason is creating harmful perceptions. This was never going to be a big recruiting class for us, but we do need quality depth to man determined systems of play. There are a lot of questions here, but CRN’s answers so far smack of confusion and indecision. This is leadership? Is the problem CRN or is RG undercutting him on new hires?

Bleecher Report is more worthless than the LA Times
If ran a search on the “author” of this “article” you’d find this guy has a lot of reasons to go negative on Neuheisel and UCLA. I am not around here much but I would recommend not sharing nonsense from Bleecher Report written by UCLA/Neuheisel haters and use that to make a point. Thanks.
You mean like this?
while pursuing a MS degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California…
Go Bruins!
Okay
I did pick up on the unquestionably negative attitude of this article, but I wasn’t aware of the history. I should have known he’s a Trogan. I’ll take your advice, Nestor, not to spread this crap around again.
I’m hoping CRN pulls something good out of his hat soon. I know he’s in a tough spot right now, but it’s hard to watch the firings and hirings come and go and still nothing.
It sure is difficult.
Patience can be a good thing, but at some point I think we all go a little past the point of concern. What level of concern is reasonable and what level is panic? We have no way of knowing until the dust settles.
Go Bruins!
He is a Trogan, so his opinion is biased,
But facts are facts and they speak for themselves without his help.
The bad news is that the whole coaching situation since the season ended has been botched by CRN and DG in the worst possible way for recruiting and for the image of the AD and the program.
The good news is that none of this really matters if the right hires are still somehow made. For in the end, what happens on the field next year is all that matters.
I have always believed that we have the talent to be very good. Once we have the right coaches, we will be fine, if not next year with CRN and new assistants, then the next without him.
Its all about the outcome for me
While it appears to be a mess, until it all shakes out it is hard to tell

It is amazing...
That even with sanctions, SUC is out-recruiting UCLA. I really believe RN is taking way too long with the hires. It tells me that there is $ trouble with moving Chow out. DG’s seat is getting warmer by the week too. We were supposed to have an advantage vs $C in this period. seems like RN has squandered it.
sc has always had the advantage
of taking kids we cannot or will not.
Just curious, who are we losing that we both wanted and could get admitted? (This isn’t a challenge, it’s a sincere question. I don’t follow recruiting closely.)
