Scout Moves UCLA's Hundley to 5 Star

Bumped with 2010 Hundley highlights now up on YT-BN

The final scout.com rankings list Brett Hundley as a 5 Star recruit. In an article behind a firewall, Brandon Huffman notes Hundley's polish, poise, and pocket awareness. Per Huffman, Hundley has been playing in a pistol variation at Chandler and will have a short learning curve to go along with his live arm and good feet.

This jump comes after Hundley's rave reviews during the UnderArmour game which included this bomb during the game.

Now that Hundley is officially on campus, he will have a few months to learn the playbook prior to spring practice. Hundley is already proving his Bruin blood by meeting with visiting recruits, and he specifically made a positive impression on highly touted recruits WR Devin Lucien and JuCo OT Fou Fonoti.

I previously had my doubts about a true frosh being the starting QB, but I hope Hundley wins the job. The way he has taken charge in recruiting shows poise beyond his years.

I hope Hundley

Is pulling out all the stops with Tony Steward. I disregard bleacher report, but he could still be an absolute asset in our new defensive system.

Tony Steward would be a great pick up.

He’s a guy that could probably play immediately and team with Zumwalt, Olanyian, Owa, Marsh, Graham and Willis to form one hell of a front seven.

I dig the fact that he is talking to recruits

and getting them excited about UCLA. At this point, Rick needs all the help he can get.

Both of these kids

would be solid pickups, especially if the rumors of Hobbi becoming the newest trogan are true.

We also need to land Heyward and McReynolds if possible, and that would make a very nice class.

He looks like a young Cam Newton.

If we have a decent OL, he can be a game changer for UCLA. A QB who can use his feet is a nightmare for any DC. Many x he has to use a LB as a spy and leaves one less DB out there.
Auburn won the Title because of their QB and D. No one could do to Oregon what they did. Slowed them down. Then he did the rest.

well deserved

is definitely a 5 star at this juncture. How they develop is always a wildcard, but I have a lot of faith that he is going to pan out into our best QB since Tommy Maddox.

Just looking at his Bio

He has a 3.9 GPA in high school and hopes to go pre-med and become a doctor some day. Another high quality scholar-athlete coming to UCLA (as compared to that crosstown “school”). Gotta love it. Go Bruins!

Ouch...

I just saw some of the most brutal straight arms from Hundley! I know it’s high school football but I actually felt sorry for some of those DBs in the clips. He was a man among boys.
