Just like BP
We knew this was coming, but still :(
No surprise.
It would’ve been foolish for him not to.

Congrats to Ayers
Puts a bit more uncertainty out there for whoever our new DC is.
Akeem was a beast. I wish he could’ve seen a couple more bowl games or beaten USC. Oh well, off to the NFL to join his fellow Bruins that are tearing it up out there.
A bit OT, but it’s so nice to see our guys doing good stuff each Sunday. MJD, Marcedes, Verner, Price and on and on. I’ve gotta think that overall we are representing much better than USC alum — Matt Leinart (soaking in a hot tub somewhere), Brian Cushing (king of the suspension), Reggie Bush (crash and burn), Lendale White (where?), Carson Palmer (the fantasy team killer) Haven’t seen those negative results around our guys and I don’t expect to
It is pretty amazing
that of the roughly 1,000,000 5-star recruits that $c had during the 2000s, only two of them are playing at a high level in the NFL (Polamalu and Matthews).
I could be wrong...
but I’m pretty sure Matthews started out as a walk on and then improved.
We were watching the Chargers game yesterday
Akeem’s name was on the list of top 10 draft prospects on the defensive side. We knew he was gone after seeing that.
Here's the ESPN newsbit
Congrats Akeem. I hope we see him on the NFL grid iron early and often.
gonna miss him
but it seemed like we played without him for the last half of the year. The rest of the D is gonna have to up its play!

We knew he was gone when we saw Shug Knight in his huge entourage after the SC game. He also told some of the players he took his last final at the end if fall quarter. Next up, coming soon.

A shame to see him go
but who knows if he could actually improve his stock by staying.
Now I wonder what will Rahim Moore will do…
Larimore, Zumwalt and ?????
Westgate, Love, who couldn’t beat out Westgate, Sloan (3 middle LB’s), Onilayan, Kendricks, Hofmeister, Wallace… sheesh. Anthony Barr?
Olaniyan or Westgate
Olaniyan could be near Ayers good as he develops. He was awesome in practices last year. I’m glad they redshirted him. Hopefully he hangs around till his senior year.
