The UCLA Bruin Marching Band is in the running to win $50,000 through the Pepsi Refresh Project. You can help the UCLA Marching Band raise funds for scholarships and outreach opportunities by expressing your support here. Vote for the "Help build endowed scholarship funds for the UCLA Bruin Marching Band" idea and encourage all of your friends to do so as well. Help the Band Refresh the University and the World!
If UCLA finishes in the top 10 out of 1,000 causes, the band will receive the $50,000. It doesn't cost anything to vote, just log in and vote ONCE A DAY from January 3rd to the 31st, and ask your Bruin fans who love our band to do the same. You can find the Facebook event page here.
The band plays at all home football games, men's and women's basketball games, and various Olympic sporting events throughout the year. It is an important aspect of the university's athletic programs by motivating athletes and engaging and entertaining fans. The band travels to the San Francisco Bay area for either the Stanford game or Cal game, NCAA Tournaments, major Bowl games, and other major events out of the country. It has been recognized as one of the best in the nation through the Louis B. Sudler Trophy, but it needs your help in order to continue its great traditions, excellence, and impact.
The band made my 5 years at UCLA an amazing experience, and though I graduated last year, I still want to help out, and hope all of you who bleed blue and gold help keep the Solid Gold Sound as strong as ever, and remember, you can vote once a day EVERY DAY.
GO BRUINS

I was in the marching band for most of my undergraduate career, I’d like for it to keep going strong
Vote early and often!
Per the official rules (my emphasis):
[…]individuals who have registered on the Website to vote for the Applications they think should receive Grants ("Voters") will be allowed up to ten (10) votes (each a "Vote") per Voter per day during each Voting Period [midnight Eastern to midnight Eastern].
Roses are red, violets are blue...f*** $C.
...and now I find
you can vote ten times a day, but only once per day for any particular cause. I’ve done my vote for the day; I’ll try to leave the topic alone now, since I can’t edit previous comments.

Rec'd to move it up the fanposts
and voted, and posted it on facebook. Hopefully my fellow Bruin Alums do the same.
It was 45th mid-morning...
I’m trying to post a reminder comment in whatever seems to be the thread of the day every day, though I won’t be around a computer tomorrow morning. Somebody please cover that for me tomorrow!
