I was at the pregame watching the players get off of the bus. I wanted to yell and give some of the guys encouragement. The band was playing, Vick the Brick was there, Prince was the first guy off of the bus, but a lot of the players were zoned out listening to their iPods.
For a team with major talent and a lack of chemistry, it might be smart to experiment with a "no IPod" policy for a few games to see if this increases focus and cohesion. I may be what some youngster consider "old school" but I my high school coaches would never stand for our players to listen to their radio with earplugs back in the old days.
I think that the Bruins football team is largely a bunch of individuals who show up at the game and then try to sort things out just before the game. The focus needs to start once they get on the bus.
Only a tough leader can make this happen. Harbough could but I don't think Rick's does.
