Cool official site video roundup of UCLA Basketball Media Day featuring comments from newcomers Norman Powell, De'End Parker, and returning veterans Tyler Lamb, Reeves Nelson and LJ.
I liked how Nelson's comments about working to make some "good memories" at the historic Men's gym.

Lane
Looks to me that Lane has bulked up which should help him fight for position on the boards. Should be an exciting year. Thanks for Posting N.

Zeke gets it
I love how he appreciates ‘putting on the jersey’ and how he was proactive in practicing and incorporating the new guys.
All I needed to see was that UCLA-$UC game from last year.
Zeke is by far my favorite player on this team. Yes, his production fell off after that hand injury, but he is a warrior. If he can manage to stay healthy, I think he’ll be one of the top 2-3 PGs in the conference and among the strongest leaders in the conference. He’ll only have been in Westwood for 2 years, but man does that guy bleed blue and gold!
De'End Parker
Sounds like a smart, , mature, well-mannered guy.

Nelson has got the eyes of a hit man
He just looks cold blooded to me. I want to see him put that look on a defender and then score, then put the look on him and block a shot. Let some guy on the other team get a little hot, and then Nelson pays him a visit and that’s the end of that.
Can't wait to see
how all the playing time with the pros over this summer pays off this season. All the guys sound great, and are saying all the right things. That’s not the same thing as getting it right in the games, but it’s a start. They seem close knit and eager to get playing — and I’m eager to get watching them.
The work ethic over the summer seems like it was at a higher level this year than in any previous year I can remember. The video posted on BN of Zeke working out, plus De’Ende (in this vid) describing how Zeke brought him into the process… It’s all great stuff.
Here’s hoping these are all true indicators of a season we can all enjoy.
BTW, anyone know if Norman Powell has fully recovered from his concussion?
