I humbly apologize to the Rays and to my Bruin brothers and sisters

Just after the Rays had their miracle comeback against the Yankees and won the AL East wild card, I likened the Rays to the Bruins, and thought that if the Rays could do it, the Bruins could. That was a very short-sighted analogy, and I apologize to all concerned, especially to Joe Maddon. Comparing him to CTSS is beyond insulting. Joe started a 22 year old rookie with 1 big league start in the first playoff game against the best hitting team in baseball. That would never, ever be a CTSS decision. For the insulting comparison to the Rays, I apologize. To the extent that my analogy gave anyone false hope against Stanford, I apologize.
