Saturday Football Open Thread

Well folks, it is another Saturday and there is football to be played all around the country. I know that after Thursday night many of us might have forgotten how the game is supposed to be played. The early games are starting to wrap up, with Clemson, Kansas State and Oklahoma State running over their opponents, while Ron Zook's Illinois team is about to fall to Purdue, so let's refresh our memories with a few games this afternoon and evening. Some of the main games around the country, and among the Pac-12 on TV today:

12:30pm PDT:

  • Oregon @ Colorado (Fox Sports)
  • Auburn @ LSU (CBS)
  • Georgia Tech @ Miami (ESPN)
  • Nebraska @ Minnesota (ABC)
  • Maryland @ Florida State (ESPN2)
  • Air Force @ Boise State (Versus)
  • Texas A&M @ Iowa State

The action continues into the evening, with the following games starting at 4pm PDT:

  • Utah @ Cal (Fox Sports)
  • Penn St @ Northwestern (Big Ten Network)
  • Tennessee @ Alabama (4:15pm, ESPN2)

And the big games of the evening are starting up on the 4:30 - 5pm PDT slot

  • Southern Cal @ Notre Dame (4:30pm, NBC)
  • Washington @ Stanford (5pm, ABC)
  • Wisconsin @ Michigan State (5pm, ESPN)

Oregon State @ Wazzu takes up the Pac-12 late night spot this week, with a 7:30 PDT/10:30 EDT kickoff from Pullman on Fox Sports/Comcast. This is your open thread to discuss all of the action on the field today and tonight.
