Senate Minority Leader Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) - a Louisville alum - for now is doing his part to hold up West Va's move to the Big-12 as he is working with his former colleague David Boren (former Democratic Senator from OK) who is the President of OU. This of course has POed West Va Senators Joe Manchin and Jay Rockefeller. Pretty amusing stuff. I actually appreciate what Senator McConnell is doing (even though I disagree with 98 percent of his politics). If we have a Bruin alum in the Senate and UCLA's interest is in play we'd expect him or her to show this kind of tenacity and loyalty. GO BRUINS.
