Here we go, the 2011 pre-season tournament, the Maui Invitational opening round game against host Chaminade.  The game will be on ESPNU and ESPN# starting at 6:35 PM PST.  The Game tracker is here.  

Last year in the pre-season NIT we showed some flashes of talent in the early rounds and also showed we had a lot to work on.  This year we come in almost desperate.  For the first time this year all the scholarship players will be available, although Anthony Stover is officially listed as probable coming back from subluxated left shoulder and David Wear as questionable after a mild concussionis out and Reeves Nelson is suspended for the first half for missing the plane. 

Ben Howland is 2-0 for his career against Chimande and UCLA has a career record of 6-3 in the Maui tournament winning the title in 2006.  The official UCLA preview is here.  The BN preview is here and the Chimande basketball website is here.
