After everything that's gone down, I don't understand how this petition has not managed to get the necessary 2,500 signatures to be sent to Chancellor Block. I realize that it's only one part of the big picture, and that there are a lot of other ways to put on pressure towards the administration, but damn it looks pretty bad that we can't even get 2,500 people to sign their names toward bringing change.
I don't know. I'm starting to think that a lot of people are frustrated but too lazy to really bring about change. Chancellor Block is not going to fire Dan Guerrero if only 500-1000 people are making a clamor. We really need to turn it up a notch.
Personally, I feel pretty hopeless. I can't believe that almost for certain DG is going to keep his job. That sickens me. I am beyond frustration, and the fact that Chancellor Block really doesn't give a crap what I personally think (as well as many others that are not million dollar boosters) is a horrible reality. Yet, if we can really get some people behind this, and get the signatures needed, and really help out with all the things that Nestor is advocating to bring about change, maybe we'll do enough to make a difference.
Come on man. Let's do this. I personally posted the link to this petition on every single one of my UCLA friend's facebook accounts. I've seen close to 30-40 of my friends names on the list once I put it up on their facebook accounts, and there are still more who will sign I am sure.
