Photos from the Sports Arena: UCLA vs. Pepperdine

Finally, a convincing win against a quality D1 opponent! Here's what those of you still holding out for DG's ouster missed. I'm going to go straight to the pictures and comment picture by picture. Click for big, full gallery link beneath each picture, etc.

The zone was highly effective tonight-- Pepperdine was continually confounded by the reach and space-taking ability of our bigs. A few blown plays resulted in easy buckets, but by and large, the zone was much more effective than the m2m I saw against Middle Tennessee.

More after the jump!

The Wears were dominant both on offense and defense, accounting for five blocks and 17 rebounds between the two of them. Watching the game, it sure seemed as if they accounted for more than 18 points, but when the defense began to key on them, the guards stepped up big, led by none other than Lazeric Jones, leading the team with 14 points. P.S. This ridiculous shot went in.

Lazeric Jones stepped his game up tonight, hitting two of three from three-point land, shooting 100% from the charity stripe, and grabbing six steals.
