Shaq Goodwin Picks Memphis over UCLA
Boo! I thought we had a great chance at landing him.
By his choice, it looks like he knows his sport is definitely basketball (which we all knew) and that he wanted to stay close to home...

WHAT!?!?!?!?
this sucks.
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi
maybe they made him an offer he couldn't refuse...
… though far be it from me to insinuate any shady actions from the school who brought us Derrick Rose’s SAT scores.
I was under the impression that was more "coach" Calamari.
I haven’t heard anything scandalous coming out of Memphis since Rose and the slimeball were there, but I could be wrong.
On a related note, how long until we start hearing about all of the questionable ongoings at Kentucky? I’m confident it’s not “if”, but “when”.
While I would have liked him
the whole football and basketball thing worried me. You can’t play two sports who overlap that much. He is a bit different which can be good or bad.
I really want Shabazz who is a lock to be great.
Maybe it's not over just yet ...

An hour after he posted his #MemphisBound tweet, these two followed:

And apparently mom was rocking UCLA gear this weekend when they were in Pasadena.
If he comes here. He wants to be here.
The kid is 18 and being recruited heavily. Let’s not read too much into a tweet. 10 years ago recruits had all these same thoughts and emotional roller coasters, but weren’t able to broadcast them all to the world.
I would be the perfect guy for UCLA to recruit
I have all my eligibility left, and I don’t know how to twit. The thing is, I don’t want to go back to school, and I’m sure I couldn’t get in, so that would be a drawback.
Rough news.
Would have been great to have him along with Jordan Adams. Good chemistry is huge.
sort of off topic...
but Tyrone Wallace committed to Cal yesterday as well. No more PGs left on the board.

Dominic Artis also "committed" to us at one point
and that turned around…maybe Howland and company can turn someone around. Would that be underhanded? We seriously have been lacking a true point guard for awhile.
not gonna happen
we haven’t even recruited him

Now I feel like Larry Drew Jr is a blessing and a curse
Im glad we have a true point in 2012, and have the chance to recruit a stellar 2013 pg. But maybe this player is part of the log jam at the position that convinced Artis to decommit.
This is all conjecture not based on fact so don’t take too seriously.
