A look back at 2007 UCLA-Portland State
An old clip from a UCLA game in 2007. I'm bringing it back up because of the staggering contrast in defensive intensity between that unit and this year's unit. Particularly, look at 0:50 of the video, now that's defense.
t's one thing to know the numbers are not the same, but damn just to see the intensity really tells you how far down our D has sunk. Howland's teams used to SUFFOCATE teams on Defense. Now we just kind of tire ourselves out trying to double the post or hedge the screen.

You have to be in shape
to play Howland’s defense. None of our guys are in that kind of shape. None. It’s pathetic.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
