Malcolm Lee Signed By Minnesota Timberwolves
According to a report emanating from SBN Network's Minnesota Timberwolves site, former UCLA guard Malcolm Lee has been signed by the team.
The Minnesota Timberwolves were quite active on draft night back in June, but many of the transactions were forgotten following the long period of inactivity caused by the NBA lockout. One of those moves was the Wolves acquiring UCLA Bruins guard Malcolm Leefrom the Chicago Bulls in exchange for the rights to Nikola Mirotic.
The Wolves apparently signed the 43rd overall pick on Monday morning, shortly after inking first round pick Derrick Williams, according to Sports Illustrated's Sam Amick.
SI's Sam Amick, who is the source for this story, says it is a three year guaranteed contract, rare for a 2nd round pick.

Timberwolves
are a team who understand the benefit of signing Bruins. I think this is a good spot for him as a defensive specialist alongside a trio of scoring PGs.
I was actually surprised by this ...
only because they signed pg Rickey Rubio (who they drafted a few years ago_ and because they signed free agent pg JJ Barea (who has arguably the hottest wife/girlfriend in the NBA now that Marko Jaric is playing in Europe).
They have a bunch of point guards right now, I guess they think Malcolm will play the 2 though they drafted him as a point guard.
ha
maybe they will stash Malcolm in Europe? :-)
Likely a 2
Neither Rubio nor Barea is much of a defensive player. i can see ML as a 2 and playing D on the shooting guard.
As to hot gfs, how about Sasha Vujacic? Maria Sharapova’s not so bad.
Great job, Malcolm! Make us proud!
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi
Both our second round guys were signed
The Kings signed Tyler Honeycutt on Friday.
Good luck to them both!
Really happy for Malcolm
Always really liked him and happy that it looks like his questionable decision to enter the draft early is going to work out for him
It's really nice that he got a guaranteed contract.
You really don’t see that much for 2nd round picks (though I’m guessing at least one year is a team option). A non-guaranteed contract would have made the next couple weeks pretty nerve-racking.
