Around SBN: Eden Hazard In London For Medical, According To Reports

That will wrap up his collegiate career. I'm not sure how his attitude will work out while playing professional ball in Eastern Europe, seeing how some European coaches are a bit...rough.

This is crazy . . .

but as they say in Lithuania “Sėkmės asile!”

That's a funny way of getting into the NBA.

I know European players get signed by the NBA every year. But, I can’t name a single US born and bred player that made their way back to the NBA after going international.

Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi

Brandon Jennings

Skipped college to play in Italy for a year, got selected 10th in the NBA draft.

Jeremy Tyler skipped his senior year of high school to play overseas, but got kicked off the team in Turkey from lack of maturity and ended up on a second-rate Japanese team. He did get drafted late in the second round in the recent draft, but if he had just gone to college as a one-and-done he most likely would’ve been a lottery pick.

But both those players are really young and with huge upside. I have a hard time seeing Reeves getting into the NBA

Yeah.

I think Reeves knew his destination was not the NBA and maybe he just wanted to kick start a European career, which isn’t bad at all. Hey, it’s still playing basketball for a living…

I Will Miss Reeves -- His Passion, Intensity and Desire to Win

Coach lamented his inability to get the best out of Edgar Lacy.

I hope CBH reflects and sees that some of this was his responsibility.

And, totally off topic — suspending somebody for “bad body language” is the biggest crock of shit. Body language is idiosyncratic. We can’t get inside someone’s head by analyzing how he sits on the bench.

Good luck, Reeves.

Maybe some regrets

I would imagine that CBH wishes he had done some things different with Nelson, but this is totally on Reeves. He proved himself to be an immature meathead and disruptive to the team, body language and all.

Nelson isnt a child, he is an adult and it’s better that he figure out personal responsibility as soon as possible. That is probably the best thing that CBH could give him.

Yep...

If his own mother says it’s Reeve’s fault, it’s Reeve’s fault.

Really?

I hope it works out for him too- you never want to see a kid waste his potential. But you really think he was suspended for “bad body language?” Nelson was on the shortest of short leashes after repeated violations of team rules and immature behavior and should have been kicked off the team before the Texas game. Just ask his parents.

Reeves displayed a lot of energy and passion when we wanted to, but also took breaks and gave up when things didn’t go his way. He was essentially a ten year old kid out there and that just can’t be the type of player that represents UCLA on the basketball court.

I think the worst part

was actually his behavior at practice, routinely ignoring Howland and misbehaving constantly.

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

WOW!

I can’t believe he’s completely given up on college! I’m assuming he’s planning on playing for only one year then trying to squeeze into the draft.

It’s sad because he’ll have to work twice as hard playing professionally than he would have if he had stayed at UCLA and just tried to be a team player.

According to Crossover Chronicles:
Today two people familiar with the situation have told Crossover Chronicles, Nelson’s destination comes down to three teams in Lithuania: Zalgiris Kaunas, Rudupis and Siauliai.

All three teams play in multiple leagues: Zalgiris competes in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Lithuanian Basketball League, and VTB United League, while Rudupis plays in the ULEB Eurocup, Lithuanian Basketball League and the Baltic Basketball League and Siauliai plays in the Siauliai Lithuanian Basketball League and the Baltic Basketball League.

Enjoy the borscht.

Never saw any joy in this kid’s game.

Hail to the Hills of Westwood.
