Hoffman, Rowe and Rowe: Soccer All Americans

From the official site:

Junior forward Chandler Hoffman, senior goalkeeper Brian Rowe and sophomore midfielder Kelyn Rowe were all named to the Soccer America All-America Team as announced by the publication today. Hoffman was named to the first team while both Rowes were named to the second team.

Hoffman, a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, led the Pac-12 in both goals (18) and points (42) and was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection this season. His 18 goals were the most by a Bruin player since Joe-Max Moore had 18 back in 1991 and his 42 points were the most by a UCLA player since Seth George had 42 in 1997. He also finished the year tied for fourth nationally in both goals and points scored. Hoffman tied UCLA records this season for consecutive games with a goal and multiple goal games, scoring in five straight games and tallying four multiple goal games. In addition, Hoffman earned third-team All-American and first first-team All-Far West Region honors from the NSCAA earlier this year.

Brian Rowe had a great senior season for the Bruins, posting a single-season best 12 shutouts. Rowe also finished the year with a 0.75 GAA and recorded a Pac-12 best 0.20 GAA in conference play, which helped him earn first-team All-Pac-12 honors. His 12 shutouts are the most by a Bruin goalie since Eric Reed had 12 back in 2005 and he finished the year with 69 saves. Like Hoffman, Rowe earned second-team All-America and first-team All-Far West acclaim from the NSCAA.

Kelyn Rowe became the fourth UCLA player all-time to be named Pac-12 Player of the Year this season and led the conference in assists with 10. His 10 assists also put him in a tie for eighth nationally. In addition, Rowe had six goals and 22 points on the year which was second only to Chandler Hoffman for most on the team. Rowe was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 2010 and earned third-team All-America acclaim from the NSCAA last season. He was also named first-team All-Freshman last year by Soccer America. This offseason, Rowe made his camp debut with the U.S. U-23 National Team after earning six caps on the U.S. U-20 squad.

Congrats to all of them for a great season. Hopefully the soccer team can close the deal next year.

GO BRUINS.
