Photos from UCLA vs. OSU

Bumped. -BN

I'm definitely going light on the commentary tonight, because it's late and I'm tired. Malcolm Lee had another beast game, despite getting the shaft from the officials. Did he make a dumb foul or two? Yup. Should he have fouled out anywhere near when he did? Hell no. The turnovers were bad, and at times we were just plain old being too fancy for our own good (like the poorly-timed alley-oop attempt). On the other hand, there were some plays that I was sure weren't going to end well, but a crisp pass through traffic turned a probable TO into an easy layup or dunk. I'm probably missing a lot, but between being tired and waiting a while after the game was fresh in my head to write this, that's all I got. Pictures! (full gallery link is below each, click for bigger, etc.)

I know I talked about ML in the text, but this is my favorite picture from today. Complete JS domination-- he brushes off the defender like he's saying "No, get outta my way-- it's dunk time." More after the jump!

Now here's one from ML.

Anthony Stover played pretty well, getting a few blocked shots, but I don't think anyone could compare to Tyler Honeycutt tonight in that category.

Speak of the devil. This one's not a blocked shot, but none of them came out clearly, so this is what you get.

REEEEEEEEVES. Best part about this photo? How nobody is doing anything about the imminent dunk. OSU #22 isn't even walking. OSU #55 is walking, and OSU #4 (?) is displeased, but clearly not doing anything. TH and LJ are just watching the show.

Finally, a little bit of Den history. Today, we had a guest Den leader - the originator of the Frisbee cheer returned to Pauley and led the cheer that bears his name. I don't know if this was why, but the Den was unusually large for it being a game against a low-profile team-- they filled the entire lower section and more. Not quite SC game attendance, but way better than I expected for second-to-last in the standings OSU.

Slideshow!

Enjoy!
