Pac-10 Tourney Thread: While UCLA Embarrasses Itself On The Court...
SUC, in a sick game of oneupsmanship, has its representative, men's basketball coach and professional retread Kevin O'Neill, embarrass them off the court:
PointGuardU's sources have indicated that USC head coach Kevin O'Neill and his wife were drunkenly escorted away from their hotel after getting into verbal and physical altercations with Arizona fans on Thursday night.
O'Neill and his wife were in a hotel lobby of the JW Marriott and visibly intoxicated when they exchanged words with a group of Arizona fans. O'Neill reportedly threatened the fan that USC was going to "beat the hell out of Arizona." Words were exchanged and our sources say that O'Neill's wife struck one of the Arizona fans. O'Neill and his wife were escorted out of the hotel, and Arizona fans were left wondering what just happened.
Nothing like a little bit of assault to celebrate a victory for Kev and the Missus.
Oh and the man that was allegedly struck? Over 70 years old.
Stay classy, SUC.
If anyone is watching these Trogans tonight -- use this as an open thread.

I'd believe the tucson folk deserved it
road tripping to that town has not been a pleasant experience, from the fan interaction perspective. Still disgraceful behavior out of the trogan and his wife, and d-baggery from the mildcat fans is certainly no excuse.
As we learned from the Women's game at Galen,
age has no bearing on douchebaggery.
Exhibit A (taken from the student (not band ;) ) section at the Women’s game at Galen):
From Unsorted
I had to re-host it to post here, but I take no credit for this image. I was too stunned to get the camera up.
Yeah, there are no winners in this scenario
K. O’Neill never should have put himself in that position to begin with, but there is definitely a fair share of a-hole boosters out there. Heck, I had one behind me (a UCLA one) at the game yesterday talking all kinds of stuff about UCLA- and then saying he’s entitled to say whatever he wants because he gives the school money.

that combo always gives the worst hangovers too
or what I call “A Sunday Morning in Fall”
He's been suspended by SC for the rest of the pac 10 tourney

in other words, a one-game suspension
Ethical Pat sure does lay down the law. No suspension for the NCAA tournament, just one meaningless game or maybe two. Of course, as freesia notes, he can not and will not suspend anyone at all who has ever even heard of football, no matter what.
Do not forget about Ethical Pat’s background. When he was a student, Ethical Pat lived with John McKay and his son, JK. That’s a violation, I"m sure. He was part of team during the the Marv Goux payoff days. Ethical Pat has never once said one letter of one syllable of one word of repudiation of what went on, and has never suggested that he was going to bare his soul about any of that misconduct. Bascially, all of Ethical Pat’s statements, when dissected, all say the same thing: “By golly, we are not going to get caught ever again. But if we are caught, I’ll rend my garments, gnash my teeth, make the most solemn, Solomon-like pronouncements, and then hand out the lightest punishment I think I can get away with and still keep a little credibility.”
You got that right Fox--a mere one game suspension
Final score was 67-62 Arizona in the semifinals at Staples Center thus eliminating southern cal from the tournament and bringing the seemingly never ending single game suspension to a blessed conclusion.

err, that didn't work.
Booze on,
and fight in bars.
Give running backs
some brand new cars.
They drink,
to fill their maws,
A BOTTLE OF JACK
between their jaws.
…
A charge,
is but a dream.
“we own police!”
is what they scream.

That could've been
a blessing in disuse for the Trogans. More ammo for Pat to fire him to bring in his own guy.

Ethical (?) Pat - a FAKE!
Like I said in another post, $c BB takes it on the nose again. The FB team and coaches get away with whatever but not the BB coach or team. O’ Neill should not be out drinking. He should set a good example for his team – oh, wait a minute we are talking about $c – never mind. Also, Etical (?) Pat learned from one the the best cheaters tied with Cheatey Petey, John Mc Kay. WHAT A JOKE about his honesty. GO BRUINS!
