Expectations for the first few practices of Spring....

Well a new year is upon us and an extremely critical one it is.  CRN needs a solid year of at least 8 wins to feel secure.  As I wrote after the end of the '10 season, CRN would go with people he trusted to be his coordinators.  The result is Mike Johnson and Jim Tresey?   From all the off season reports on these guys you see a common theme, FUNDAMENTALS!!!  True BruinNation followers knew this was one of the primary reason's our boys came up lame last year, and thankfully CRN has sought to remedy this issue.

Sure the guys were young last year but if we had a dollar for every damn dropped ball, or out of position defender!!!!

I'm very excited with CRN's choices for OC and DC.  The thought of not just running the Pistol but creating a new offense that incorporates a lot of different schemes!!! Then on the defensive side of the ball a coach that wants to put pressure on the offense, attack, attack!!!

Most important than the scheme's is the dedication to the fundamentals.   Especially how both are stressing the basic's leading to our players being able to play 'free' once they have the fundamentals down pat!!!

So I'm expecting pretty boring reports the first couple of days due to the focus on the basics.  I expect that the end product at the Spring game will be one of the most fundamentally sound teams we have seen in a long time in Westwood.  Execution should be much better overall.

EXECUTION + TALENT = WINS!!!

I will also be looking forward to the new coordinators use of the current talent on the roster.  Where they see guys plug into their systems.

What are you all looking forward to seeing in Spring ball???

GO BRUINS!!!
