As the Bruin Nation seethes with anger over Scam Guerrero's decision to rob the students of their sideline seating, I too have been caught up in a swirl of emotions. I have pondered how I could take a direct action (thanks, 66) that could have any meaningful effect.
Today I read a comment by Fox 71 that struck me to my core.
As a matter of fact, this has been a common refrain here and on the UCLA Athletics facebook page; the challenge to present a fair and clearly written survey to assess the desires of both Students and Alumni. I'll go so far as to include the fan who has no direct relationship to UCLA but loves our teams anyway and regularly attends games.Maybe someone with access to a photocopy machine could do a fair poll, get the answers at Bruin Walk or its equivalent, and present that to morgan off-center. Here’s a fair question: “Do you support morgan off-center’s decision to move the student section from the sideline to behind the basket.?”
I am shocked I did not think of this sooner. Why are we waiting for the Moronic Center to do something we can do for ourselves? I give you Survey Monkey!
Now, this is the part where I need help. I'll cover any costs associated with putting this together and perform all the mundane data entry to get this going. When we have a truly academically honest survey, I will publish it and invite everyone to take part in the survey as well as invite others to take part. The goal is to reach the Moronic Center's mythical 7,000 count. In reality, I would like to reach many many more. As I see it, if they can reach 7,000 students, we can reach the same amount of students and alumni. That's 14,000 potential ticket buyers and donators.
Post your questions below in the comments section. Link any relevant survey related material that can help construct this survey. If you have any formal experience building a truly academically honest survey, please reach out to me directly at Hectorcam01@gmail.com
Let's give the MSM something to chew on. Go Bruins! Fire Dan Guerrero!
