UCLA vs. Arizona, Rubber Match Sunday Open Thread

Yesterday over 1,000 were out at Jackie Robinson Stadium to see UCLA take down Arizona to even up this weekend's big Pac-10 series at one game apiece. They were also treated to a bit of school history as Trevor Bauer continued his incredible career and season by becoming UCLA's all-time wins leader.

Now though, the Bruins need to make it count. Oregon St. is off to a mind-boggling 7-1 start in conference and at 8-3, UCLA needs to get a win today to keep pace. Arizona is their first top notch Pac-10 opponent this season and not only will a win ensure that they keep Pac-10 in conference, but a series win over the Wildcats would be something impressive to put on their resume come Selection Monday.

With the series on the line, UCLA will turn to their freshman Adam Plutko. The right-hander hasn't picked up a win since his second start of the season, but it's not his fault. He comes into today with a 1.74 ERA and .185 batting average against so the Bruins feel like they're in good hands with him on the bump, but he has never faced an offense as good as Arizona's before.

If you're looking to follow along, GameTracker will have it and you can get all the in-game updates, along with links and other information, especially weather and schedule updates, on my UCLA baseball twitter. John Ramey and Tim Wilhelm are back in the booth this weekend and giving you the play by play online all weekend. This is your rubber match open thread so if you're following along, share your updates, thoughts and whatever else.
