Sellers remorse? Dont know what you got until its gone?
So Morgan Center sold this court to someone at some rediculously low price. The buyer walks away laughing at what a great deal they just got.. They turn around and try to sell it for what it is really worth, and now Morgan Center wants it back?
A bruin is good forever, a Trojan is only good... ahh eff it, just use tin foil
It's not that simple.
She bought it at low price and then came up with a plan to sell it for charity to get Coach Wooden and players to sign the floor, partly for UCLA health research. Then it didn’t work out. She kept the circle and now is selling for her own use.
They were trying to raise $1 Million.
Now she is going to get $105,000+, latest report on the radio news.
I was talking more about the destination
Is the goal still charity or is it personal gain? 105k is nothing to sneeze at and I don’t like the idea of Coach signing this with the idea that it was going to be towards a charitable cause only to have the profits line someone’s pockets.
Hopefully that means
Auction price minus what was paid for it. Otherwise it’s disgraceful, and an insult to Coach IMO.
Then she is a prostitute
In the figurative sense, by selling out moral decency for financial compensation. Obtaining the signatures of Coach and his players under false pretenses and using it to drive up the price of the item for personal financial gain is disgusting.
Question to all: If you were the winning bidder, would you donate this back to the Morgan Center?
I, for one, would not.
1) If I had $100k to spend on something like this, I would have one hell of a rec room. And this would be a dope addition to that.
2) I’m not sure I’d trust them to not screw that up too.
I can only imagine
the bureaucracy and red tape she had to go through…to give a donation like that…it would turn off the staunchest of desk jockeys.
But hey, what do I know. Iām just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
If we don't trust Morgan...duh
How about giving it to a rec center somewhere or a boys and girls club. RW went to the one in Hawthorne. That would be something Coach and the players would appreciate…and might not be a bad recruiting tool!
Go Bruins!
No way this sells for $100K
If Ebay has taught me anything is that bids will spike right before the auction closes. I would be shocked and embarrassed if the Morgan Center didn’t make a run for it themselves.
Otherwise, somebody lend me $100K. Insomniac and I want to open a bar and I think this would make a great center piece. ;)

No good guys in this one
Morgan Center screw up, but she’s a pretty slimy person.
Dan begging for it back was really embarrassing. If someone owns something you want, man up and pay for it. Don’t cry about it to the newspapers.
