UPDATE II: Los Angeles Regional Baseball Ticket Information
UPDATE: Includes ticket prices. Fresno St. has incredible baseball fans and UC Irvine is right up the road so it is imperative that Bruins hop on the opportunity to buy tickets and fill the ballpark in true blue. Come on everyone! - R
When the NCAA announced the 16 hosts for the Regionals, there was one surprise on the list. UCLA had been awarded a host spot meaning that next weekend Jackie Robinson Stadium will be host to postseason NCAA baseball. Three teams will join UCLA for a four-team, double elimination tournament with the winner advancing to the Super Regionals, one round shy of the College World Series.
The Regional will be played Friday, Saturday, Sunday and if necessary, Monday. The first three days will feature two games on each day and if Monday is necessary, it will be a single game. Here is the initial ticket information for the Regional.
Tickets to NCAA Regional games at Jackie Robinson Stadium will go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. Fans will only be able to purchase tickets through UCLA's Central Ticket Office (310-825-2101). Beginning Tuesday, fans may only purchase All-Session Reserved ($80 adult, $55 student) or All-Session General Admission packages ($55 adult, $50 student).
Single-game tickets will not be available until Friday.
Ticket prices have yet to be announced and the Regional schedule will be announced on Monday, shortly after the 9:30 am PDT selection show that will reveal which three teams will join UCLA for the Regional. The selection show will be broadcast on ESPN and whether or not there will TV coverage of the Regional may also be announced then.
UPDATE II: If the all-session passes have not sold out by Friday morning, those tickets will be sold on a single-game basis at that point. Friday's 2 pm game between Fresno State and UC Irvine would be available at the stadium. The other games would be available online.
All-session tickets are still available online RIGHT HERE.

What year is it?
Oh yeah. It’s 2011.
How can the birthplace of the Internet NOT be selling NCAA Regional Playoff tickets online? Who are the cavemen running ticketing at Morgan?

Can you call in for tickets?
Or do you have to drive over to the Central Ticket Office? I only ask because when the Bruins played the Trojans at Dodger Stadium, they required you to drive over to the CTO, and would not let you buy tickets over the phone.
For all of you who have to set the alarm to get up by 10:00 on a weekday, I’m sorry but I can’t feel your pain. When you have a job, an 8 year old and/or a puppy, and sleeping in is waking up at 6:30 a.m.., you will understand why my response is not very sympathetic….
Should be able to call in
We were able to do that last year and they provide the phone number in the release.

Something's changed...
Beginning Tuesday, fans may only purchase All-Session Reserved ($80 adult, $55 student) or All-Session General Admission packages ($55 adult, $50 student). The student prices apply to all grade school, high school and college students.
But whether it’s $40 or $50, not having single-day tickets is a bummer, especially since the weekend we’re playing is the weekend right before Finals Week. Though, per LA Bruin, students (and alums) have it even worse at other schools. Oregon State’s charging $100 for adult reserved seats and won’t even allow students to get reserved seats?? (Unless the students there pay the full $100.)
My recollection from last year
was that they sold the reserrved tickets in advance as a block, but if there were seats available you could buy general admission tickets day of game.
I would think that this year’s regional should be an easier ticket compared to 2010 because no one travels for baseball like LSU who was in the UCLA regional last year, although there may be a fair turnout from Fresno State this year. I would not expect very many fans from USF
In addition, once other schools start getting eliminated their fans who have all session tickets should have individual tickets that they are willing to unload. (Hopefully, that won’t be the UCLA fans that are unloading the tickets).
Ryan-do you know if they are going to add the bleachers down the right field line again like they did last year?
Did a little research
Last year they had all session reserved tickets for $80 & $65 for students. General Admission was $55 and $40 for students.
Last year single game reserved tickets ($15 & $12 for students) and single game General Admisson ($10 and $8 for students) went on sale on the Friday the tournament started.
So far the all session tickets are not much more than last year. What I don’t understand is why there was no reference to single game tickets.
Prices changed again for students:
All-Session Reserved ($80 adult, $65 student) or All-Session General Admission packages ($55 adult, $50 student)
They saw uCLA6636’s post of last year’s price?
Got my tickets today
According to the woman at the CTO she said that individual reserved tickets were not on sale today, but you could buy individual game general admission tickets through the CTO.
Either the CTO is wrong or the Morgan Center is wrong
because the releases say we can only buy all-session tickets. Fantastic.
Anyways, I’m getting close to 45 minutes on hold waiting to buy my tickets…

what i found out...
just bought 2 reserved passes through the CTO phone line (with a rep). i originally called to find out more info about individual game tickets. the rep told me that there will NOT be tickets set aside for individual game ticket purchase. that if purchases of passes take up all the capacity, there will be no individual game tickets available. i have to say though that the rep didn’t seem to be 100% confident of this information. he recommended that i buy passes which i ended up doing. the first call i attempted, i pressed 1 to “purchase tickets”. this transferred me to TicketMaster whose automated system offered to sell me tickets to the “UCI Regional” (which doesn’t even exist). my second call i did not push any options so that i would be sure to get a rep. i had to wait on hold for 25 minutes before i got a live rep.
I was able to buy individual game tickets on the UCLA Athletics website.
Just a heads up. I know this conflicts with earlier information, but I was able to buy a pair for Friday night’s game. GA tickets are $10 each.
interesting
i found online where you can buy a regional pass, but not individual game.

So they are available online?
Fantastic. Can they get it together over there and have clear, accurate information that doesn’t continually change? Who knew giving them your money would be so difficult.

I just looked and only saw the package.
Do you have a link to single game tickets?
Here is the link to online purchases through ucla:

I already bought mine at CTO today, but it might help others.
Go Bruins!
The link I saved as a bookmark for Saturday's game now says
“Sorry, the group of plans you have selected is currently unavailable online. Call (310) 825-2101 for more information.”
Even Dodger Stadium doesn’t have a Row I, so its not unheard of.

Single game tixs
Why would UCLA not put single tixs up for sale? I don’t even see myself buying package if all I want to see is UCLA in action. Frustrated with CTO over this.

Memba LSU last year
Practically brought the state with them and their mothers and packed JRS last year. I remember reserve tixs went online at midnight that Friday (day of). Since its just the intra-california teams, hoping more availability will be out there this Friday online.

TV schedule
Looks like the Fullerton Regional is again getting tv this year. ESPN left us in the dust for the 2nd straight year (besides the Super Regional).

Tixs Qty Packages
Just checked the online site for ticket purchase’s. Tried a qty of 6 reserved all session’s and even thats still available. Guessing packages are not selling like firecrackers this year. Then again, its not like LSU is in town either lol.

Shocking considering the way they've marketed it
You know, exciting videos, promoting them as Pac-10 champions, emails to alumni and Wooden Club members.

I agree
I agree with you Ryan. I think the grads and over 30 crowd are going to wait until Friday for indiv tixs (online/walk up). You’re not going to see your typical UCLA student go out and spend $65 on an all session ticket since all they want to see is the Bruins play. This regional didn’t have the glitz like last year with LSU in town (big name draw). Sure we have the typical UCI fan base but not sure Fresno St/USF will have a lot of fans making the trek (except the die hard’s) unlike say LSU. I can see how UCLA wanted to offer the all-session to maximize revenue and the sorts. I just think it’s better to offer a package for say a super-regional round and just a bad idea for a regional weekend. I see this being a crowd of 1k-1100 each day since the stadium capacity w/out bleachers are 1250.

The students at the CTO today were all picking up graduation tickets.
The big ceremony is Friday evening. None of them had a clue about baseball.
Go Bruins!
Welp looks like I am going to take the gamble and wait till Friday morning for single game tixs. UCLA just updated their tix information.

In fairness to UCLA ticketing
1) No one really expected them to host the regional before Saturday
2) Monday was a holiday which meant they really did not have a lot of time to prepare
3) This is only the second baseball regional UCLA has hosted in the last quarter century
4) If they are like most other governmental entities they probably are operating with less staff since the recession hit home.
However, that notwithstanding, it would be nice if they put out a little more information to the public and the information was more reliable.
Hopefully there should still be individual tickets on sale for those who can’t afford to buy the packages. I seem to recall that there were day of game GA tickets available last year. UCI brought some but not too many fans last year. I can’t imagine USF will have a large contingent there. The big unknown variable is how many fans from Fresno will vacate the central valley for LA. Ryan-Do you have a sense of how the Fresno fans travel for regionals?
I was at the first weekend of the 2008 CWS when they won and there were some but not an overwhelming amount of FSU fans. Of course it was a little hard to distiguish the Fresno fans from the Georgia fans in 2008 since they both wore red and both had bulldogs for mascots.
Reserve tixs
Welp all the reserve tixs were wiped out over night, guess I was wrong :/.
Well
I tried looking up a pair of reserve seats this morning just for kicks and giggles, none were available except GA. Tried just one and instead of 2 or 3 seating location its just one location with a row N which doesn’t exist at JRS. Something is weird though as I couldn’t see 1000 reserve seats just disappear. Checked stubhub and craigslist, nothing is being posted either.

Yeah its for sure wacky. Tried it again and I get more choices now and can even get a pair. I am going to say I am not trusting CTO’s ticketmaster system at the moment.
by BruinBaseball14 on Jun 1, 2011 10:31 AM PDT up reply actions
I really don’t know. Looking at the seating chart from last year, ends at M. Like I said, this system is wacky at CTO. Last year, I ended up finding a seat in the reserve about 2 hours before the first pitch. I ended up having the same ticket as another guy. Luckly the usher let me sit in the media section behind home plate.
