I just watched the game and it was exhausting at home!

I can’t imagine how tired and spent the actual players are. Not to mention it was 1:30am in Memphis when the game finally ended.

Russell played great, but I felt he was forcing things as well. There were a couple of drives to the basket he could have dished the rock to Durant for easier points. C’est la vie. They won.

Amazing line for RW

51 minutes, 40 points…and just three turnovers.

Good to see.

He’s been getting demolished in the press, and rightly so for the most part. He’s trying to take over the game, but oftentimes he’s limited by good Grizzly defense when he could dish off to Durant, one of the game’s top players.

Taking waaayy to many shots

13 more shot attempts than Durant (but seven less FTs), in five minutes of less playing time. Only FIVE assists in 51 minutes. That’s less than one assist every 10 minutes.

As a PG with the 2x scoring champion on his team, he needs to focus on managing the game a little bit more. He takes a lot of early pull-ups and does force it into the paint a little too much. He doesn’t have an offensive-minded big on his team (Ibaka takes backseat to Collison in this game for match-up issues), but he draws sooo much attention, he could easily be dishing it off when he gets close to the basket.

Westbrook is very good, but he doesn’t need to play like a scoring PG a la Derrick Rose. He has two extremely versatile scorers in Durant and Harden and some athletic bigs to get the ball to. IIRC, Westbrook took TWO of the last second shots for the Thunder. When you have Durant on your team, that’s two too many.

Yeah, he's forcing things a bit at times

but Durant’s greatest (maybe only) weakness offensively is his inability to get open when the other team denies him the ball. He pretty much just stands still and puts a hand up expecting the ball. Westbrook has a choice between a force to Durant and a drive to the hoop. Seeing as he gets to the bucket at will, I think he generally makes a more prudent choice. 40 points is proof in itself that he can score the ball.
