UCLA Men's Golf In Hot Pursuit of #108
After two rounds at the NCAA Men's Golf Championship hosted by Oklahoma State, the #2 ranked UCLA men's golf team sits one stroke behind #4 Georgia Tech. The final round will be played Thursday, with the top 8 finishers moving on to match play elimination. The tournament was modified after UCLA won the 2008 title to include match play elimination after three rounds (unlike the ladies game). Two bruins are also in the hunt for the individual crown as well.

Given the match play format
The important thing is that UCLA’s 16 shots clear of 8th place. A solid day tomorrow will get them into the quarterfinals.
Interesting question, so I looked it up
The five players on each team are paired up, with a point given to the low score for each pair. Three points wins the match.
