Utah Jazz GM Praises UCLA's Howland
Utah GM on Lee and UCLA: "First of all I think he has been so well coached and so well-schooled by Ben Howland. . . . He’s noted as a defender right now that’s the way to get in the league and get better at everything else. . . . He’s been so well coached. Just put him out there and watch him do the things he recognizes; both defensively and offensively. "

Love to hear that
Recruiting has suffered, but I strongly beleive that with the right players, Howland can take us to another National Championship! Hopefully with the changes in the coaching staff, we can get there sooner rather than later.

another great post
is it worth having a frontpage section devoted to awesome things NBA types have to say about how well CBH prepares people for the league? Not trying to tell people how to run the place, but wondering whether someone is keeping the archive on this stuff – obviously should be Morgon Center, but for some reason I doubt it.
right
just wondering whether an accessible compendium of “Dear recruit: here are all the NBA reasons you should come to UCLA” might be useful without being mixed in with the negativity strong and vigilant introspection. Perhaps not. Just figured this is one of the groups that can help strike back against the whispering campaigns, and there could be ways of deploying the arsenal even more effectively. No disrespect intended, just floating an idea.

Sorry
I know it’s worded pretty dickishly, but I don’t think having a tag for something this specific is going to advance that narrative any. I think we’ve done a decent job of documenting what you said throughout his tenure here though, and BN links do come up often enough on Google that anyone so inclined to search for what you’re talking about should get something relevant from us along with the original source. The real victory is that the MSM is picking up on what we’re saying and attributing truth to it. I think that helps far more than what we do on our end, because a recruit that isn’t biased like we are is likely to put more stock in hearing it from a supposedly neutral source like ESPN.
indeed.
the best thing for us would be for the elite recruits reading their own press clippings to see the MSM talking about how they could be the next well-prepared-NBA-star to study under Howland.
daily bruin sports went all the way out to utah!!
