UCLA Baseball Regional v. Fresno State Open Thread

Well, last night was not the way that anyone hoped to start the postseason, but thankfully the Bruins have another chance to right themselves. In the opening (loser's bracket) game of the day, UCLA faces Fresno State in the first elimination game of the Los Angeles Regional. With the season on the line, national POY Trevor Bauer takes the mound for the Bruins. The game is set to start at 2pm Pacific. All of the games this weekend can be seen live online and GameTracker also will have game updates. Ryan's UCLA baseball twitter has updates, observations and notes as well.

Bruin’s crowd was much more in the game today when I was there.
As for as pitching matchups, I see this happening.
If we play UCI, its gonna be Plutko as they never seen him yet.
If we play USF, I am betting on Weiss getting the call. If we beat USF, UCI has already faced Weiss twice this season.
Thoughts???
not sure if it was noted because I just got back from the game
but Bauer’s 14 Ks give him 203 for the season, which is a new Pac-10 record (passing Mark Prior’s 202).
Definitely hoping for a USF win tonight.
Would rather have Plutko vs. UCI, and would like to only have to beat UCI once.
UCI wins 4-3
USF scored 2 in the 9th but couldn’t tie it up.
