Kitten "Discipline": Hello Kiffin Doesn't Appreciate Tyler's "Humor"
I guess $c won't be breakin bread with Marc Tyler for at least one game.

Hope they make a "Bowl" game...
so Marc can recoup his lost revenue! ;-)

Wow
the team must be in shock. This is much more severe than Pete Carroll making him run laps.

Can't really punish the kid
for embarrassing the university when the university is an embarrassment to begin with.

Wow, one whole game
Against Minnesota, no less.
No one can say that the USB Trogans aren’t tough on discipline.

The Haden ERA / SC's scholastic rankings
A one game suspension is a joke for this, but given that he has 2 other recent indiscretions, it’s incredible he’s not kicked off the team. At most other schools, including UCLA, the TMZ comments alone would have had him removed from the program. Depsite all the talk about Haden bringing in a new attitude, it’s clear that nothing has changed – win at all costs continues to be the mantra.
Also, on a slightly different topic, in the comments thread of the CBS story an SC loser tried to stand up for the quality of an SC education by bringing up their #23 ranking in the U.S News & World Report list. PLEASE, PLEASE, EVERYONE, do what you can to get out the truth about that garbage of a list. USN&WR does their rankings based on the size of the schools endowment fund. The list has nothing to do with the quality of the education received. Yes, some of their top schools also happen to be top educational institutions. SC, on the other hand, belongs nowhere on a list of such institutions.
Not to mention
that US News & World Report can’t even make up their own damn minds. Whenever somebody cites that ranking, I bring up another USNWR ranking – the top 400 universities worldwide. Guess where UCLA and U$C rank worldwide:
UCLA – 35
U$C – 113
different methodologies, is my guess
I could be wrong, but isn’t Yale or Harvard the baseline for the national rankings? So they probably have a different baseline or set of variables for the worldwide rankings…
As a famous UCLA alumnus once said
I think it’s a bunch of bullsh*t myself
When someone explains how, in the USNWR rankings, they moved up so fast in only a few years, I will believe that u$c is a better school academically. Please. Did they build a solid gold temple of wisdom in a single year from all the money that hack Lucas gave them?
I think not. The USNWR rankings can be and are in fact gamed. I give you the USC Viterbi School of Engineering

Wow.
USNWR relies on the numbers submitted by the universities. Wonder what other numbers they embellished.
Go Bruins!
Not to mention endowment
that’s hardly a measure of academic excellence. I could be a Chico State grad, invent the ShamWow!, and move them up 30 spots.

He's not Wendell
Marc first showed poor judgement when he selected Second Choice over his dad’s alma mater
Actually it was a great choice for him
With his character issues, SC is the perfect fit.

Chicken or the egg.
Was he a d-bag before he went, or did the school make him one?

One game suspension
Haden and Kiffin think a 1 game suspension is enough for what Tyler did? WOW!!! Such discipline. I am surprised they didn’t just wiggle their fingers and say ,“OOOOOOOO”. Tyler is an embarrassment to his school – oh, wait, it’s $c, nothing their players ever do embarrasses them. CHEAT ON, trogans! You run, without a doubt, the dirtiest program in college!!! Cheatey Petey and Ethical Pat, is there any difference?
