I love Ben.
I love his approach to the game, his no-nonsense attitude, his dogged work ethic, and his emotion. I love how he defends his players and helps every single one, despite some of them being misguided, get to where they want to be, especially the NBA. I like his rough-and-tumble defensive style. I’m happy to have him as our coach, and as the caretaker of Coach’s program.

Glad these arguments are making their way into the mainstream
Most of us here already knew Parrish’s points, but sadly, not everyone does.
That's why is important we keep reinforcing these things here
Howland is not without his faults, but he looks to be correcting them (recruiting targets, assistant coaches, etc). In the end, his positives outweigh the negatives these days, and we are aiming to get back to the Final Four days of a few years ago. That’s why it is important to highlight his attributes. Our posts here on BN get hit in internet & Google searches, and outside eyes see them. Same reason we must keep up the pressure on Morgan Center, Guerrero, *$c, etc. We can get the message out with our narratives here.

Coach Ben has really
reversed his public perception from “no-fun”, “too controlling” to “hard-nosed”, “fundamentally sound”. Looks like it’s paying off already.

Howland has taken great steps to improve his staff
However, we should note that the current frontpagers have played an integral role in changing the narrative. Specifically Achilles, DC Bruins, Tydides and others have done an amazing job to lay out the case – based on facts and numbers – about the "UCLA factor" talking up Howland’s success in Westwood.
heh, it's funny to think how much dirt Howland gets
He is a clearly a good coach who prepares his players for the next level. Do other coaches and recruiters fear him so much that they have to smear his reputation with comments like being “un-fun” or “too hard”, in order to prevent him from getting players which would otherwise be phenomenal under him?
After our last "Number 1" recruiting class
I hope anyone scares away all the softies who think U.C.L.A. is just their ticket to the pros, but who aren’t interested in working, learning, and improving, and winning on the way.
